Effective operation and maintenance of harbors and marinas is dependent on employees having a solid understanding of the marine infrastructure installed at their workplace. The operation and care of a marina depends on understanding the materials and structures commonly used in the marine environment. This course provides marina staff with a solid understanding of what they can expect to find at their facility. Knowledge of marine structures and materials and understanding the advantages and disadvantages inherent in the different marine building materials will help staff effectively maintain these expensive public investments. This course is part of the Career Training for Ports and Marinas program. Work done is on your own time within a designated period of time.
