This course deals with the operation and maintenance of marina sanitary sewer systems and the complexities of providing clean and safe water service for harbor customers.
Clean drinking water, facilities to pump out sewage holding tanks, and fire protection are very important services that marinas provide. This course provides in depth background to help understand water and sewer systems. It covers the layout of these systems, best practices for operation and maintenance of them, and the regulations for each. Upon completion, employees will be equipped to provide marina users information they need to help preserve and protect harbor water quality. This course is part of the Career Training for Ports and Marinas program. Work done is on your own time within a designated period of time. Requirements for the class: must have a computer with internet access, speakers OR headphones, personal email address, Adobe Flash Player.
